POLICE ARRESTS TWO SUSPECTED TRAFFIC ROBBERY GANG IN LAGOS

Officers of Ifako division of the Lagos State Police Command, have arrested one Alaba Ibrahim ‘m’ aged 35 and Hammed Ibrahim ‘m’ aged 39 along Gbagada road.

In a Statement issued by the Lagos Command Police Public Relations Officer ,a Superintendent of Police,SP Benjamin Hundeyin read that,

” The suspects were arrested by policemen on routine patrol following credible information received about the presence of suspicious persons on Deeper Life Bible Church Bridge Gbagada. A third suspect, took to his heels upon sighting the policemen.

He added that , “Preliminary investigation revealed that the suspects have been operating at that spot during traffic grid lock, distracting motorists and subsequently carting away their phones and other belongings.

He Stated that,” The suspects are currently assisting the police in an ongoing investigation to arrest the third suspect and other members of their gang. Suspects would be arraigned contingent on the outcome of investigation.

” The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, CP Abiodun Alabi, fdc, while commending the officers for their resilience in fishing out traffic robbers, has directed that efforts be sustained towards eradicating criminality within Lagos State.” He Concluded
