The Medical Director/CEO of Isolo General Hospital, Dr Godwin Akhabhoa has commended the team spirit and commitment of the Eye Department to hard work.
Dr Akhabhoa gave the commendation while speaking at the thanksgiving party organized by the department.
The Medical Director, who was also pleased with the clinic for surpassing its target for year 2021 promised to fulfill his promise to give the department 20 percentage of the target as bonus. According to him, this would serve as an encouragement and a motivation to other departments.
He acknowledged the challenges of the clinic and promised to do everything within his powers to tackle some of the urgent and critical ones. He specifically poured encomiums on the following staff of the clinic, Dr Oluwatoyin Aroboto, Dr Akiseku Oluwabunmi, Dr Manema Godwin and Dr Franca Fagbemi.
Speaking on the challenge of space constraint, Dr Akhabhoa noted that it would be difficult to extend the building, but promised to provide canopy to alleviate the challenge of inadequate space.
In her speech, the Head of Department of Eye Clinic, Dr Akinremi Olajumoke thanked Dr Akhabhoa, Management and her staff for support and dedication.
Dr Akinremi noted that it was not difficult for her team to meet and surpass their target, assuring the Managing Director that they would repeat the same feat in the current year even though the target has been increased.
She listed some of the daunting challenges of the clinic and appealed to the Managing Director to come to their aid.
Also speaking at the occasion, the Deputy Managing Director, Dr Mohammed Shuiab commended the clinic for quality service delivery which he said is a contributory factor to the increasing number of patients patronizing the clinic.
Cash ward was given to five deserving staff of the clinic. They are: Dr Yemisi Oluwadara from Medical Unit, Dr Chioma Ijezia from Optometry, Nurse Folake Oladimeji from Nursing Unit, Mr Divine Ochiobi from Records and Mrs Funmi Fagbemi, Attendant.
The Deputy Director Nursing Services, Azeez Idowu Arolake and the Head of Admin & HR, Mrs Oyindamola Ola-Dawodu also spoke to commend the Clinic for their hard work.
The programme was also attended by the immediate past Head of Department of the Eye Clinic, Dr Mrs Olorunnibe Modupe. She described the Eye Clinic staff as hard working, kind hearted, and a good team to work with anytime
