WOMAN 40 ALLEGED POLICE OF ASSAULT PETITIONED AREA COMMANDER

A 40 years old woman has alleged a woman Police inspector attached to Ojokoro Divisional Headquarters of assault and injuring her.
The woman Mrs Bello Kehinde told our reporter that Mr. and Mrs ubah her co-tenants renovated their apartment on the 24th of December 2022, and left the compound littered with waste rather than complain she said she swept her side of the compound.
According to the complainant, when she came back from where she went to she discovered that Mrs Ubah has swept the dirty waste on their side of the compound to her side, which she has already swept, Mrs Bello Kehinde Said she has to confront Mrs Ubah and they had exchange of words.
Narrating her ordeal further she said the following day 25th December, 2022, Mrs Ubah came to her with a Police officer from Ojokoro Police station to arrest her and she told the Police to go that she will come when she finish cooking as it was on Christmas day. and they left only for Inspector Yemisi Ubah and his wife to come back later in the day to ordered her to follow them and as she wanted to enter her room to change her clothes Inspector Yemisi blocked the door and grabbed her clothes and started to drag her which resulted to her sustaining injuries on her elbow and mouth.
According to her Inspector Yemisi called Police on patrol that came to forcefully took her to the station and the sum of N20, 000 was extorted from her in the name of bail after she has spent 3days in the cell.
Mrs Bello Kehinde has however Petition Area ‘G’ Commander of the Nigeria Police Over the action of Inspector Yemisi and also ask for the Case to be transferred to Area ‘G’ Ogba.
