WAEC disowns LinkedIn account

The West African Examinations Council, WAEC, has disowned a LinkedIn account allegedly owned by one Patrick Areghan, who parades himself as the Head of the Nigeria National Office of the examinations body.
In a statement issued on behalf of the Head of National Office by Mrs. M . F. Adesina, Head of Public Affairs, the Council said the Head of National Office of WAEC-Nigeria, Mr. Patrick E. Areghan, had no account on LinkedIn.com.
It further said that any account on the named social media platform bearing Areghan’s name and photograph must be the work of an evil impostor.
The statement read in part: “The general public is, by this information, advised to disregard any statement, comment, solicitation, or otherwise from the charlatan, whose main aim could be to defraud unsuspecting individuals.”
It added that the Council would always communicate with the public through its verified media of communication while it remained committed to serving and preserving the education of the African child.
