In line with the Nigerian Army Forecast of Event 2023, the Doctrine and Training Nigerian Army (TRADOC NA) has commenced preparation for the conduct of Captain to Major Written Promotion Examination (CMWPE) 2023. The routine examination which forms part of assessment for eligible Captains to be promoted to the Rank of Majors will be held at the Nigerian Army School of Transport and Supply (NASST) Benin City, Edo State.
As part of preliminaries, the Commander TRADOC NA/Exam President, Major General Stevenson Olabanji while briefing members of the Examination Panel and Directing Staff at the NASST Auditorium, urged them to abide strictly with extant rules and regulations guilding the conduct of the examination.
Represented by the Director of Training TRADOC NA, Brig Gen Nkemakolam Mbaka, the Examination President made it known that the panel and Directing Staff were carefully selected based on professional competence. He therefore urged them to bring their experience to bear in order for the Nigerian Army to achieve the aim of the examination. He also charged them to be committed and dedicated to their assigned task and to shun any act that will mar their reputation and integrity.
Earlier, while welcoming the Examination Panel to the school, the Commandant NASST, Maj Gen Usman Otaru described the CMWPE as an important requirement that will determine the career progression of the candidates. He therefore tasked the Examination Panel and Directing Staff to take their duties seriously and to cease the opportunity to positively impact on the development of the candidates. The Commandant expressed gratitude to the Chief of Army Staff, Lt Gen Faruk Yahaya for the opportunity given to the school to host the CMWPE. He assured that the school has the capacity to provide all necessary support for the successful conduct of the examination as well as a conducive environment and facilities that will enable the candidates to read and pass the examination.
