Social Orientation and Safety Corps – So-Safe Corps, the Ogun State-owned security outfit, on Wednesday, 15th. February 15, 2023, apprended a notorious robbery suspect, who is on the black list in Republic of Benin.

A press release issued from the office of the State Commander of the So-Safe Corps, Commander (Dr) Soji Ganzallo, through the office of the Director of Information and Public Relations of the Corps, Assistant Commander, Moruf Yusuf, said that the security outfit and the Republic of Benin enjoy a wonderful security relationship, which aided the arrest the robbery suspect.

He added that the suspect had escaped arrest and was suspected to be hibernating in Nigeria while the kingpin of the team is in their custody.

Ganzallo said that the robbery suspect, Mr Mishodi Awiagin, was sighted in Ayetoro in Ipokia Local Government Area by the Ipokia Area Command Special Patrol Team on routine patrol led by the Area Commander, ACC Yusuf Aliu.

On sighting the security agents, the suspect took to his heels but was given a hot chase.

Ganzallo further revealed in the statement that the suspect was captured alive without any injury, and during preliminary investigation, confessed that he is a native doctor by profession.
He confessed to escaping to Republic of Benin in order to evade arrest over his involvement in a number of serious crimes.

The So-Safe boss disclosed that the suspect had been transferred to Sakete Police in Republic of Benin for further investigation and likely prosecution.
