Peter Obi, Abure, Otti storm Owerri for Achonu

The presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, and the party’s national chairman, Julius Abure, alongside the Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti will on Tuesday storm Owerri, the capital of Imo State for the Owerri Zonal Rally of Senator Athan Achonu, the Labour Party candidate for Saturday’s governorship election in the state.
The epic rally is slated for 12noon at the Kanu Nwankwo Sports Centre, Owerri.
A statement from the Athan Achonu Media Centre disclosed that while Obi is the Special Guest of Honour, the Abia State governor, is the Guest of Honour while the party’s national chairman is the Special Guest.
Other dignitaries expected at the event include Barr. Calistus Ihejiagwa, Chairman, Labour Party Imo State; Chief Chime Nzeribe;
DG, Sen Athan Achonu Campaign Organisation; and Hon Tochukwu Okere, Member, representing Owerri Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, and Chairman Imo LP Campaign Council, among several other eminent personalities, including Achonu’s running mate, Hon. Tony Nwulu.
This grand event is a continuation of Achonu’s marathon campaign that has taken him to all the 27 local government areas of the state to canvass for the people’s votes on November 11.
The campaign train had received rousing receptions as mammoth crowds of people cutting across party lines had always trooped out to receive Agu Otu Aka, as Achonu is fondly called, and yearning for the change he represents.
