MAJOR GENERAL IBRAHIM ALI CHARGES COMMANDERS IN 3 DIVISION ON ACCOUNTABILITY, EFFECTIVE EFFICIENT UTILISATION OF RESOURCES

The General Officer Commanding (GOC)3 Division Nigerian Army (NA) and Commander Operation SAFE HAVEN (OPSH) Maj Gen Ibrahim Ali has charged commanders in 3 Division to ensure resources are accountable, efficiently and judiciously utilised to achieve desired objective of the Nigerian Army. He made this known today 29 Sep 2022, when he received the Acting Director General , Bureau of Army Financial Management and Audit (BAFMA) Office of the Chief of Army Staff, Brigadier General Raymond Oche at the Headquarters 3 Division Jos.
General Ali said that the activities of BAFMA is routine in the Nigerian Army and is conducted quarterly to ensure efficient use of resources towards improving the professional capabilities of the troops. He also noted that the exercise was to guide commanders on accountability of resources. He urged the Commanders to maximally support the team for a hitch free exercise.
Earlier in his remarks, the Acting Director General, Bureau of Army Financial Management and Audit, Brigadier General Raymond Oche commended the GOC for the laudable projects he initiated which has given 3 Division a new look.
He said he was in Headquarters 3 Division to intimate the GOC on the third quarter auditing exercise scheduled for 3 and 7 Divisions.
Brig Gen Oche explained that the Nigerian Army is not an exemption to public sector financial reforms and policies as there are policies that guide financial activities in management of government resources.
Highlights of the visit was the presentation of souvenir, signing of visitors book and group photograph.
