We announce with grave heart of concern over the gruesome unprovoked shooting and mass murder of over 90 worshippers of St. Francis Catholic Church Owo, Ondo State by suspected Fulani terrorists on Sunday 5th June, 2022 during the morning Mass service leaving scores of hundreds dead, with others injured and lying critically on death roll point at the various hospitals in Ondo State, precipitating the urgent need to convoke an emergency Yoruba / National Unity Meeting, inorder to raise mass awareness and urgent red alert flag on fears of imminent further attacks by this marauders in Yoruba Land and by extension Nigeria at large.
We are inundated with news of daily serial killings in the recent times all over the country under the guys of religious and Ethnic bigotry, justifying the scripted age-long islamization/ fulanization war Agenda by some agent provocateur elements both within and outside Nigeria.
We are drawn back to seriously reflect on the premeditated nefarious agendas by the Boko Haram terrorists as alleged and informed by the former Deputy Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria: Late Obadiah Mailafia that we should be prepared for war by this year 2022.
We therefore don’t want to be caught up in a Web of an unexpected overnight and day sporadic simultaneous attacks of our citizens, based on the brazing modus operandi of some of the notorious and deadly Fulani terrorists acting under the guys of Okada riders, iron bender sellers, shoemaker, fruit sellers, majority of whom were loaded in lorries and trailers into Southwest over some years till date, believing to strike out their sinister evil Agenda at the least time.
A scenario of a planned moves to kick start the looming war; considering the Sabongeri Kano School blast, Sokoto’s Deborah Samual and Abuja Vigilante killings, Kaduna train attacks, unwarranted threatening violence conducts at various points in time in major parts of the Country, particularly in Yoruba Land.
Alas, the attack in Owo is a signal clarion call for us to host a Yoruba and National Unity Agenda Meeting, and as well form a Central Security System code named: F’olumo Volunteers Network (Operation Sweep)- prepared for an immediate line of defence and collective self help by all organisational structures, renowned powerful individuals, all inhabitants and groups(OPC, Iroorun Ile Kaaro Ojire, Atunluse, Amotekun, Onyabo, Hunters/Vigilantes to mention a few in Yoruba Land, should we be provoked further for the last time by this terrorists.
Based what to expect in the coming days on behalf of the entire members and leadership of the Igbimo Apapo Yoruba Lagbaye (Yoruba Council Worldwide): umbrella body to the Yoruba Council of Youths Worldwide(YCYW) and Yoruba Council of Women Worldwide(YCWW), Yoruba Council of Students Worldwide(YCSW), Omoluabi School Club, alongside all her affiliated organizations globally, to specially demand onward support of our political, traditional and religious leaders at all ends, on the exclusive hosting of a high powered concerted round table dialogue meeting (Behind the curtain) with eminent stakeholders and Leaders viz: Political, Religious and Traditional Leaders, in line with resolutions reached at the end of the meeting respectively.
This dialogue meeting is to bring together leaders of thoughts ranging from our eldest stateman and former President of Nigeria: Chief Olusegun Obasanjo,GCFR, The Ooni of Ife being the Apex traditional institution in Yoruba Land: Ooni Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, Mr. Ebun-Olu Adegorowa, SAN, Iya Ewe Oodua Agbaye, Lady Evang Esther Ajayi, Apase Odo Ismail Olayemi Apase, Mr. Balogun Olatunji, while the Executive Governor of Ondo State and Chairman, Southwest/Southern Nigeria Governors Forum, Arakunrin Rotimi Akeredolu, SAN will be leading all other Southwestern States Governors to this all important meeting, wherein date and venue will be disclosed as soon as all protocols are properly put in place soonest, inorder to chart away forward on critical issues of mutual and national interests.

Overall common interest of the “Yoruba and National Unity Agenda” on 2023 Presidential Election.

We shall endeavour to provide maximum security and ensure full implementation of all resolutions reached at the end of the exclusive hosting of this historical meeting.
This is done in due response to the emergency security alert situation at hand, in recognition of our Council’s responsibility and noble roles as the apex Yoruba interest group, immense positive knowledge and reputable character of the aforementioned leaders, predicated on an all embracing demands for provision of adequate security, welfare and peace building responsibility placed on our shoulders as one of the only last hope organization standing as the rallying point of Honour that can rescue and salvage the Yoruba and Nigerian nation from imminent total collapse.
We shall continually endeavour not leave any stone unturned in the fight against insecurity by smoking out all perpetrators of the this heinous inhuman criminal acts in Owo, Ondo State, and as well not seize to promote peace and unity in Yoruba Land and by extension Nigeria at large.
