The Nigeria Police Force has welcomed Assistant Inspector General of Police, AIG Adegoke Mustapha Fayoade, as the 32nd Assistant Inspector General of Police in charge of Zone 2 Command Headquarters, Onikan, Lagos.
AIG Fayoade, who hails from Ila-Orangun in Osun State, took over from AIG Olatoye Durosinmi, who retired on August 19, 2024.
With over three decades of meritorious service, AIG Fayoade is a seasoned police officer, strategist, and crime fighter. His educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Education from the University of Lagos, a Diploma in Political Science, LLB (Hons) from the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), and a Master Degree in Public Administration from the University of Lagos.
Prior to his elevation, AIG Fayoade served as Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Police Command.
In his maiden address, AIG Fayoade solicited maximum support and cooperation from the people of Lagos and Ogun States, promising citizen-friendly, problem-solving, and intelligence-based proactive policing.
