The Lagos State Police Command have arrested Impostor posing as a soldier during a routine patrol in Fagbile Estate, Ijegun Isheri road , a suburb of Lagos state Southwest Nigeria.

According to the Lagos State Police Command Public Relations Officer,a Superintendent of Police,SP Benjamin Hundeyin ,said that ,”the suspect, identified as Sergeant Major Femi Balogun, was captured wearing full military attire.

Hundeyin added that ,”the arrest occurred around 3:10 pm during a visibility patrol.

” The suspect was taken into custody and upon collaboration with military authorities guarding the pipeline in Ijeododo, it was confirmed that the individual had been on their wanted list.

The Command’s Spokesperson, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the arrest to Vanguard in Lagos on Sunday, stating that the suspect, identified as Sergeant Major Femi Balogun, was wearing full military uniform when arrested by patrolling officers.

Hundeyin Stated that, “At about 3:10 pm during our routine visibility patrol along Fagbile Estate, Ijegun Isheri, with in the Lagos Metropolis our patrol team arrested a man, Sergeant Major Femi Balogun, wearing full military uniform suspected to be a fake soldier.

“He was taken to the station, and in collaboration with the military guard commander guarding the pipeline in Ijeododo, we immediately called them to identify the suspect.

“After interrogation, he confessed to the crime, and the military confirmed that he has been on their wanted list .” He Concluded
