Two years after the famous Endsars attack railway Police Station at Agege, Lagos State, Southwest, Nigeria which was one of the Police Stations razed down by angry youth protesters has been abandoned by the authorities concerned.
A visit by our reporter to the station revealed a terrible condition with which officers and men of the Nigeria Police operate as there is no roof and when it rains they look for where to hide.
The Divisional Police Officer (DPO) in charge of the station has converted his car to office in order to attend to matters.
A resident of the area, Mr. Akeem Salau wondered why the authority has not deem it fit to rebuild the Station like other Stations that have been rehabilitated after two years.
“This Station is in a strategic place it should not be allowed to be in this present condition that it is now. Whenever I am passing through this place, I feel pity for the policemen here; tell me how can they carry out their duties effectively under this condition. “The authority should as a matter of urgency find a solution to it.” Mr. Akeem Salau advised.
