Millions of businessmen, civil servants, and others that rely on rail services to connect their destination were currently stranded after the Nigerian Railway Corporation employees under the aegis of the Nigerian Union of Railway Workers shut down operations across the country over poor wages and welfare packages.

Speaking with Town Crier News Nigeria, a Staff of Nigerian Railway Corporation ,who pleaded anonymity said ,that,” we can’t be risking our live every day still Federal Government are paying us token, that is not whilst we are supposed to be paid.

” My Children had been sent out of School just because of School fees.

” my family can not eat 3square meal and I’m working as Afamacho ,imagine that.

” I’m in full time support ,if the Federal Government did not do the needful, by increasing our salary with other benefits ,we are not resuming back.

“The Federal Government is not trying at all ,they should do the needful and stop fulling us.

” My rent is due ,how do I pay ,is it with this token they are paying,in fact I’m just fed up of the whole thing.

” Even if they are resuming, I’m not resuming back with them.

” The Work is too stressful, before I die before my time,this is all I can say
