An Apex leader of the APC, Mobolaji Sanusi, who is also a leader of the group, enjoy members of the group to key into the Door-to-Door campaign strategy of the party and ensure that ordinary Nigerians, living around them are properly sensitized on the need to support and vote for the APC in the forthcoming General elections.
Sanusi, urged members of the TPGW, during a meeting held at the Igando area of Lagos State, which had the Lagos State Coordinator of the group, Comrade Mohammed Osoja, the Deputy Publicity Secretary of the group, Sadudeen Dada, the coordinator, Igando-Ikotun LCDA of the group, Fumi Fatokun and the LGA Organizing Secretary of the group, Olufemi Babashola, and several others in attendance, to be prepared in preaching the Tinubu/Shettima, mandate to their friends, relatives, members of their immediate communities and the general public.
He further urged them to take advantage of the social and traditional medias, as well as the ‘Door-to-Door Campaign Strategy of the APC, to propagate the great achievements and performances, Tinubu and Shettima, displayed during their time as governors of their various states and the great legacies they left behind.
According to him; “this is a time to work for our great leader Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, his running mate Kashim Shettima, who have both proven themselves as great leaders of this country and for our party, the APC. Their legacies and achievements are here in Lagos and Borno State, receptively and they speak volumes for these individuals.“
“But we will not sit down and expect this to work, we have to stand up and reach out to people around us and convince them why they must support and vote for the APC, in the forthcoming general election. I have so much trust on Tinubu and his running mate and I am confident that they won’t fail us and Nigerians, if we mobilize and give them the support they need to emerge as winners.” He stated.
Another leader of the group, Lawal Ige, who hosted members of the group in Igando, also urged members of the group not to limit the Door-to-Door campaign strategy to only members of their tribe but to reach out to other tribes. He stated that Nigeria as a country, is divers in tribe and religion and the massage of love and unity should be preached during the campaign.
He also noted that the task before them is not an easy one but members of the group should make themselves available and ensure that the Tinubu/Shettima mandate is achieved.
He said; “we must not limit our campaign for the support and vote for the Tinubu/Shettima, candidacy to the Yoruba tribe alone. We have a duty to talk to our neighbors who are of the other tribes. ”
” Tinubu’s achievements in Lagos State and across the country is numerous and we need to educate the populace about it. We also have to reach out to people of other religion and make them see reasons why the so-called Muslim-Muslim ticket of the APC is not a bad idea, but one that will move the country forward. And we also have to make them understand that they should look at the pedigrees of the individuals vying for the presidency under the platform of our great party and not their religion. “
He added further that; “I am offering and mobilizing my support for Tinubu/Shettima presidential campaign and the APC at large, due to the volume of development Tinubu brought to the Igando Community while he was the Governor of Lagos State. So, I am urging you, members of TPGW, to do your best and mobilize people around to vote for our great party, come February 2023.” He stated.
