Prophet Elijah Ayodele Warns of Challenges Ahead in Nigeria’s Political and Economic Landscape

Renowned Nigerian cleric, Primate Elijah Babatunde Ayodele, has released his much-anticipated prophecy yearbook, issuing direct warnings to the nation about its political and economic future. In his revelations, he emphasized the need for unity, prayer, and strategic action to prevent impending challenges.
Primate Ayodele foretold that no political party would unseat President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027 unless a formidable coalition of forces is formed. According to him, the opposition would need to rally around a unified and validated strategy to pose any serious challenge to the incumbent. “A strong validation and combined force is the only way Tinubu can be unseated in 2027,” he said, cautioning that fragmented efforts would yield no success.
On the political dynamics in Osun State, the prophet declared that the All Progressives Congress (APC) would fail if it presented Gboyega Oyetola as its candidate. He highlighted Rauf Aregbesola as a key political factor, predicting that should Aregbesola decide to stand independently, the APC’s chances would further dwindle. He added that with the combination of Governor Ademola Adeleke and Aregbesola, the APC would struggle to maintain relevance. “There’s no magic that will bring Oyetola back into the system,” he stated emphatically.
Addressing allegations of bias and financial inducements, Primate Ayodele denied ever accepting money to prophesy. He challenged any politician to come forward with proof of such claims. “Whatever I prophesy is what God reveals to me. I have never collected money to prophesy for anyone,” he said. He also accused politicians of exploiting his prophecies for their campaigns, both locally and internationally, while disregarding the divine warnings they contained.
The prophet issued a stern warning to Nigeria’s leadership, particularly President Tinubu’s administration, urging them to unite and seek divine intervention to avert looming crises. He highlighted the dire state of the economy, noting that excessive borrowing without repayment was a symptom of deeper structural issues. According to him, the individuals managing the country are driven by selfish interests, allowing corruption to permeate every facet of governance. “The people managing the country are there for selfish reasons, and that’s why corruption is everywhere,” he lamented.
Primate Ayodele further warned media organizations to be vigilant and prayerful, particularly against fire accidents, and urged the government to take proactive steps to prevent food scarcity and other economic challenges. He emphasized the need for empowering farmers as a solution to Nigeria’s economic woes. “The solution is farming. Farmers should be empowered, and then the syndrome of hardship will be forgotten,” he said.
He attributed the hardships in Tinubu’s administration to spiritual challenges, warning that without comprehensive spiritual cleansing, the next four years would be marred by pain and suffering. He criticized those surrounding the president for failing to provide honest counsel, adding that their actions were exacerbating the nation’s problems. “The people surrounding him are not telling him the truth,” he remarked.
Looking ahead to 2025, Primate Ayodele expressed hope that divine intervention would steer Nigeria toward a brighter future. However, he cautioned that disobedience and moral decay were among the issues weakening the nation. He called for Nigerians to change their ways, stressing that true obedience and spiritual renewal were necessary for progress.
