The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Lagos State Sector Command has marked a significant milestone with the decoration of 30 officers under the 2024 Harmonization Exercise. The ceremony, held at the PE Hall in Ojodu, Lagos, showcased the elevation of Marshals into Officer Cadre roles, reflecting the Corps’ commitment to fostering growth and excellence within its ranks.

The newly promoted officers include 11 Superintendent Route Commanders, 10 Route Commanders, 4 Deputy Route Commanders, and 5 Assistant Route Commanders. The event drew a distinguished gathering, including the Zonal Commander RS2 Headquarters, Assistant Corps Marshal; the Lagos Sector Commander, Corps Commander GK Hamzat; senior officers, unit commanders, families, and well-wishers.

In his address, the Zonal Commander commended the Corps Marshal, Shehu Mohammed, for the visionary leadership that brought about the harmonization exercise, describing it as a historic achievement. He encouraged the newly promoted officers to embrace their elevated responsibilities with unwavering dedication and professionalism while maintaining discipline and integrity.

Superintendent Route Commander Akpan, the most senior among the promoted officers, expressed gratitude on behalf of his colleagues during the vote of thanks, acknowledging the leadership’s commitment to career development. The event concluded with a group photograph, capturing the pride and joy of the day.

This harmonization exercise stands as a testament to the FRSC’s dedication to enhancing its human resource capacity for safer roads and improved service delivery.
