In his continued efforts to ensure adequate security and in full compliance with the security directives of the Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Egbetokun on watertight security during and after the Easter celebrations, the Assistant Inspector General of Police, AIG Zone 2, AIG Adegoke Fayoade has tour the Ojota Park, Agege Area of Lagos, Sango Ota and Shagamu Interchange in Ogun State to accessed the level of compliance.
In a press statement e-signed and released to the National Association of Online Security News Publishers, NAOSNP by the Command’s Zonal PPRO, CSP Ayuba T. Umma stated that, “The Assistant Inspector General of Police in-charge of Zone 2 Command Headquarters AIG Adegoke M. Fayoade has charged the Commissioners of Police in-charge of Lagos and Ogun States to ensure watertight security and deployment of Tactical Units around Shagamu Interchange, OPIC Long-Bridge, Badagry Expressway, Worship Centers, Shopping Malls, Tourist Centers, Market Places, Commercial Centers, Social Gatherings, Residential Areas, High-Ways, Motor Parks and Garages, Relaxation Centers, Train Stations and Bus Terminals, Critical National Assets as well as Government and Private-owned Properties within their areas of jurisdictions and ensure free-flow of traffic during the Easter celebrations.”
According to the statement, “Earlier today, AIG Fayoade visited Ojota Park and Agege Area of Lagos where he enjoined the youths to be law abiding, maintain peace and order before moving to Sango Area Command and Shagamu Interchange in Ogun State to ensure compliance with the security directives.”
Meanwhile, The AIG while extending Greetings to all Christian faithful urged the general public to go about their celebrations without fear of violence and harassment, he also solicits effective collaboration from members of the public.
